Rosemarie Fabien, PhD
An award-winning public relations professional, Rosemarie Fabien has been writing for design firms for decades.
Beginning with Geddes Brecher Qualls Cunningham, Rosemarie rose through the marketing departments of Matthew Cheng Architects in Hong Kong, the Hillier Group and RMJM in Philadelphia before opening her own firm in 2008.
With a BA from Barnard College and a PhD in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, her entire career has involved writing and editing.
Rosemarie has edited master plans for higher ed and cultural projects. She has written the text for interpretive signage; articles on design trends and social issues; speeches for national figures; profiles and project descriptions for websites; feature stories for magazines; chapters for monographs; and many news releases.
She is well versed in subjects relevant to education, cultural, corporate, healthcare, hospitality, residential, preservation and smart growth projects.
Committed to design education, Rosemarie serves on the Board of Collab at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and on the Board of Fresh Artists serving the Philadelphia public schools. She is a member of AIA Philadelphia, the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia and the philanthropic women’s organization Impact 100.
Under her leadership, the AIA Philadelphia Communications Committee was honored by AIA National for events held at the 2000 Convention in Philadelphia. She is the recipient of the Lewis Mumford Award for Architectural Journalism.
